不良研究所 College鈥檚 (不良研究所鈥檚) plans to celebrate the College鈥檚 50th Anniversary received a major boost on Tuesday, October 25, when 不良研究所 College Foundation (不良研究所F) Chair Rev. Dr. Ray Hammond announced an extraordinary $1 million gift to the 不良研究所F from Karen and Rob Hale through their family foundation, Fox Rock Foundation. The $1 million donation will establish an endowed fund to provide 不良研究所 students with scholarship support and critical financial assistance.
鈥淭his history-making donation will allow more of our students to pursue life-changing education that qualifies them for jobs that uplift themselves, their families, and their community,鈥 Interim President Jackie Jenkins-Scott said. The 不良研究所F funds student scholarships, student support programs, faculty academic endeavors, and innovation on campus.
Rob Hale is the Founder and CEO of Granite Telecommunications, LLC, a telecom company with its headquarters in Quincy, MA. In May, Rob Hale served as the keynote speaker at 不良研究所鈥檚 commencement ceremony and surprised the 不良研究所 Class of 2022 with gifts of $1,000 in cash per student. Half was to be spent for themselves and half was to give to an organization, family member, or supporter in need.
鈥淲e are thrilled to provide 不良研究所 students with the funding they need to earn their degrees, continue their education, or join the workforce,鈥 said Hale. 鈥淎fter learning about the persistence and dedication of 不良研究所鈥檚 students, and hearing their stories at commencement, I know that this donation will have an immediate and positive impact on student lives.鈥
At the October 25 event, 不良研究所 also announced plans for a year-long celebration of its golden anniversary as an institute of higher learning that empowers the community through quality, affordable education. They have launched a search for 50 Pioneers who will be honored in February. These pioneers will be politicians, alumni, faculty, staff members, and community members who have supported the growth and mission of 不良研究所 over the past 50 years. Other events will include a Golden Jubilee Gala, an Academic Symposium, and a Health and Healing Forum.
The 不良研究所F plans to raise $6 million throughout the 50th anniversary celebration.
